The Streets of Jaipur

You have decided to visit the City Palace of Jaipur today. Your autorickshaw passes quickly through narrow streets, barely missing cows and pedestrians. Then you suddenly arrive at the front gate of the palace. Once you are inside, it is surprisingly quiet and calm, even though the palace is located in the heart of the crowded old city. Wandering through the nearly deserted palace for several hours, you feel like a lone explorer discovering one treasure after the next. After this solitary experience, it is
a shock to be back on the busy streets of the city.

Having found an eager rickshaw driver, you negotiate a price and head back into the jungle of cows, cars, trucks, horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians. Ahead of you a cow meanders across the street. The driver maintains his speed and chooses a course based on the assumption that the cow will continue moving forward. Unfortunately, the cow stops walking forward and though the driver swerves and brakes, the rear of the autorickshaw hits the rump of the cow. The cow takes a quick few steps and turns its head, but does not seem hurt. In any case the driver does not seem aware of the small collision, and continues towards the hotel.
